For 99.9% of the time human beings have been on earth, we have lived in a relatively pristine world. Clean air, clean water, enriched soil, and nutrient dense food.

Since the time of the Industrial Revolution (the last 200 years or so), we have changed our natural environment in ways that could not have been imagined. Fast forward to the 21st century. We eat more food, yet absorb fewer nutrients. An apple today is nothing like an apple from 200 years ago.

With all of the 21st century temptations and our desire for immediate gratification, our food choices have suffered. The 2013 CDC Report, State Indicator Report on Fruits and Vegetables, states, "Most U.S. residents, including children, consume too few fruits and vegetables." The median intake for American adults of fruit is 1.1 times a day and for vegetables, only 1.6 times daily. Adolescent and child numbers are lower!
Many people have reactions to foods, from full blown anaphylaxis to food intolerance or sensitivity. Why? There are many reasons: birthing process (C-section vs. vaginal delivery), chemicals (preservatives, stabilizers, artificial colorings, and flavorings) in our food, food processing (reference), antibiotic use in animals, added hormones to livestock, smokingvaccinations, , plastics (reference, reference), your indoor environment, and fire retardant materials (reference) (reference).

Environmental toxins permeate our lives. Air Pollution: air pollution (even short term exposure), air pollution nutrient depletion, air pollution in major citiesair pollution and the elderyairline travelFoods we eat due to heavy metals in our soils, nutrient depleted soilspesticides and herbicides, genetic manipulation (GMO) of our crops. Water we drink. Home Products like soaps and cosmetics we use in our homes and on our bodies. Chemicals in our cookware, in plastics, in lawn care. Recent research has shown that babies are born with over 200 chemicals in the umbilical cord blood.

"
A key adverse health impact of ubiquitous exposure to environmental chemicals is disruption of hormones that regulate healthy human reproduction and development," according to the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics.

The result is a micronutrient deprived body, an overworked immune system, and a malfunctioning hormonal system which lead to physiological changes that finally manifest, if not addressed preemptively, in disease. Let’s not wait that long!

The Lifestyle Questionnaire will assist you in immediately identifying where you are along this continuum. Are you micronutrient deficient? Are you showing signs of food sensitivity? How significant is your daily exposure to environmental toxins?

Please answer the statements honestly. Think of this questionnaire as the first step in teaching you "to fish." What ultimately matters is that you become educated and can use this information to make informed choices. It is time to regain your health and move in the direction of OPTIMUM HEALTH!
